Why creating a business email?
If you’re just starting your own business in digital marketing, it is most likely that you will need an email address to get in touch with costumers, suppliers, partners, your audience and more. In most cases people tend to give more credibility when you send an email with your domain name extension instead of a personal email as google, yahoo or hotmail.
Not just to look more professional, you’ll probably want to creat an email marketing campain as well, otherwise you’re probably leaving money on the table. And creating an email marketing campain through a personal email will most likely result in your mails ending up in your clients spam folder.
Where to create your business email?
In order to create your business email, you’ll need to have a domain registered. If you do not have a domain name yet, Click Here to read our related post on Domain Registration.
After you got you domain name registered, there are several ways to create a business email, however I’ll describe only the ones I have already worked with, and in my experience I have always purchased web hosting plans where you can create unlimited business emails for your domain name for free.
If you do not have a web hosting company, there are also possibilities to create a business email account. However, if you’re planning to work with digital marketing, I highly recommend that you have your own website to publish your content and sell your products. How to create you business email?
As written in my previous post, I’m currently using Siteground as my web hosting provider and so far it has been a great experience. Therefore, in this tutorial I’ll show you step by step on how to create your business email with Siteground.
First step is to login in Siteground dashboard. After you’ve logged in, you see the main screen, where you’ll need to click on Websites, as in the image below.
Once you clicked in Websites, you’ll see the list of all domains you have pointed or registered at Siteground, and all you need to do is select the domain name you want to create the business email and click on the Site Tools button as demonstrated below.
After that, you’ll reach your domain dashboard, if you’re familiar to other platforms, this would be the cPanel of your website, but in this case we are using the new dashboard from Siteground that is more user friendly than cPanel. When you reach this dashboard you need to click in the email tab on the left side of the screen just like the image below.
When you click in the email tab you’ll see a dropdown menu, where you have to select the accounts tab (step 1). Once the accounts screen shows up you’ll be able to create your business emails. You just need to write down the account name (step 2) you want and password (step 3) and click on the create button (step 4), just like demonstrated in the image below.
It is as simple as that my friends. Just in a few clicks you have you business email with your domain name and you’re already able to start sending professional emails. Once you create the account names, all emails from that domain will show up in this same Accounts tab, and you can manage them all from there.
To access the email, you can either go to the right bottom corner under actions, select the email you want to access and click in Log in to webmail button. Another option is to receive and send all messages from you business email using a Gmail account for free.
